With increased age, elderly persons often face many physical and emotional changes that can affect level of function and well being. Casa Antonia offers rehabilitation service to those needing therapy, care and support following surgery, illness or bereavement.

Elderly persons may require help and care for a short time following an injury or surgery ahead of their return home. Rehabilitation residents generally require therapy and help with most of their activities of daily living at the start of their stay, our aim being to empower these individuals

Respite Care

Respite care provides time off for the family members who care for someone who is ill, injured or frail. We offer caregivers time to care for themselves and their families, take a vacation or tend to their own personal needs with the peace of mind that their elderly loved ones are being well cared for by the experienced staff at Casa Antonia.

The Home provides a warm, safe, caring environment where all the needs of the residents are met. We make sure our residents feel that they are living in a home-like environment by providing loving assisted living care, while respecting the individual privacy and dignity.

Santa Maria High Dependency Unit

Our Santa Maria High Dependency Unit caters for residents who require more extensive care. The Unit is designed to provide a self contained and secure area from which we can provide the highest quality of life within a safe and caring environment. Members of staff are trained in the care of highly dependent persons.

Shared bedrooms are designed to provide maximum observation and to provide a peaceful and calm environment. All bedrooms have access to a balcony or terrace overlooking our gardens as well as an ensuite bathroom. The Unit includes a central sitting area with large windows overlooking our main garden and pool area. The central area provides residents a common area where they can watch television, socialise and participate in special activities. Our activity coordinator also provides activities and games which are designed to provide stimulation whilst dispelling anxiety within the Unit.

A separate dining area, also overlooking our gardens, is available for residents of the Unit who prefer not to eat in the main dinning area. Residents living within the Santa Maria Unit are also encouraged to participate in activities being held in our main common areas and to socialise with other residents as much as possible. Although most residents require high levels of care, other residents are independent persons who prefer the support and care they are able to receive within the Santa Maria Unit.
